In 1987, the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine was established at the Fujita Health University. Since then, we have been pursuing the \"improvement of human activity and life\" for over 30 years.

The department started with just a few people and has grown to become one of the largest rehabilitation organizations in Japan with 5 hospitals and 14 departments - the Fujita Health University Rehabilitation Complex.

Currently, 874 members (as of 2023) continue to provide rehabilitation services in clinical practice, conduct various researches, and challenge for creating a completely new future of rehabilitation medicine (medicine for human activity).
